So bK, WHAT HAPPENED!!!!

I DON’T KNOW!!!! Yes, I do. I over ate and this is what happens to you when you over eat and don’t burn the excess calories off through exercise. You gain weight, fast and easy. Period.
PROBLEM?? I keep my weight between 173 (goal weight – which is a tad too thin) – 177 (the limit – I do NOT go over this weight) or at least I try to. This looks like it was a set back..OK so it was. I was just hungry – physically, legitimately hungry - and went for the gusto. I was eating a lot of clean + mostly raw foods only (no junk ladies and gentlemen) and I still gained weight and even fell out of my size 8 into a 10. Ha!
SOLUTION?? I brought my portions down by half (I am not counting calories anymore – I refuse to at this point because I know how to lose weight, but for those who need to lose then I say make sure to count them – COUNT ‘EM OUT!) and now I’m back to normal and my appetite is back to normal too. Not sure what happened, but I was beginning to feel and even look fat (you know that mental mirror stuff that Venuto talks about in his e-book? Well, I got that bad for me). I even think I gained some fat back in the process which is a disgrace.
MAINTENANCE?? So, all of this happened in a fairly short period of time and now I’m back to normal overall. I’m going to continue keeping my portions like this because this is working as far as burning fat is concerned from what I can see. I don’t track inches either because it’s obvious to everyone except for me that I’m shrinking. Since I’m up to 85% raw and if I keep going like this I will be A LOT leaner in no time (I’ll give it 12 weeks give or take). Plus I feel better since I started eating this way – thankfully! I will have a seperate post about eating raw in the near future, why I eat raw now and what it does for me.
CONCLUSION??? I will increase my intake by a wee bit if I drop down to 173 to try to stop weight loss. It’s easy for me to lose weight and it’s frustrating, but that’s a different story. As of today (June 10, 2010), I am back to my normal weight.

hey kandi…
… im pretty amazed at how fast u dropped those 10, do u think any of it had to do with bloat and water retention? if not, whats the best way to get down ? increase cardio?
It definitely wasn’t water weight issues I had. I gained weight from straight up over eating because I was hungry. I ate very good food, but it was just too much. I didn’t add any extra workouts to my routine which is the basic…
M – strength or heavy weight circuit
Tu – cardio
W – strength or heavy weight circuit
Th – cardio
F – strength or heavy weight circuit
Sa – off
Su – Yoga or stretching
What I did was cut my portions in half across the board and I dropped the weight consistenly until it was all off. I also increased my raw food intake and it is currently about 85% of my entire diet. I’m pressing to get to 100% one day.
Also, I’m still keeping my portions small because it helps me to drop fat faster than if I didn’t. I’m also trying to maintain or stay within the 170-177 range while I do that and that’s the hard part.
Thanks for reading!
you’re always so great at answering questions… the answers are usually constructed in a diligent matter and I appreciate that. what do you mean with raw foods and do you still stick to southbeach ?
I eat uncooked food, also known as raw food, 85% of the time using South Beach diet food lists and using its portion measurements and I do that from habit. I also incorporate the Eat-Clean Diet principles into my diet minus the portion size rules. I want to look better than I do now and this way of eating will help me to improve.
Thank you for taking the time out to leave me a comment.
