And I am soooo excited to use them. I’m not too sure what the heck I’m going to be punching on because I don’t have a punching bag, but I’m going to do something with them.
My best friend surprised me, on my first day back to work (today), with this lovely gift! I love gifts! I came to work and on my desk sits this!

I immediately became ALL SMILES when I saw the word, “EVERLAST” and you know what that means??? Boxin’! So, I threw my stuff down and went straight for the box. I cut the box open and I was in heaven!!!! I was given an EVERLAST WOMEN’S WORKOUT KIT. Have a look!

The Everlast Pink Glove Kit (that’s what I like to call it) came bundled up with a pair of “Pro Style Training Gloves“, “EverGel hand wraps” (which are to be worn inside of boxing gloves), a jump rope (not sure why it’s not pink – grrrr!), a mouth guard (COOL!), a 60 minute instructional DVD called, “Tn:60 Novice Boxing Workout” (starring Michael Olajide, Jr. – *SCREAM!* – will do a separate review on this) and a cute, little pink boxing glove keychain. I’m going to hang that little key chain on the home gym’s wall for good luck. Ha!
My best friend knew that I wanted this kit really bad, but when I went to order it a few months ago it was gone from Costco’s website. Apparently they brought it back while I was away from work. Yep, she got it from Costco and what a deal it is! The gloves, alone, at any retailer (Sears and Sports Authority for example) charge $29.99 for the gloves. This kit cost her $39.99! Plus, the items all say “Everlast will donate $.25 of the retain price of these pro training gloves to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, dedicated to preventing breast cancer and finding a cure in our lifetime by funding clinical and genetic research worldwide.” Awesome! All I need now is a head guard and the pink shorts and I’m set.
I am so feeling like Rocky now! Hey, Rocky is cool! Please don’t hate! LOL!

I can’t wait to get home!

Great read. I am thinking about taking up boxing as a conditioning tool as opposed to a sport; I really need and want a stronger and more toned upper body. This just inspired me to stop contemplating and “just do it”. I hope everything is working well for you.
