My December 2009 Fit Favorites

This is a new thing I want to start adding to my blog. Every month I’m running into some great sites that have great information about diet, exercise and books as well as useful products so I want to be able to share with you all my findings and what my favorite are. I keep links on the right side of my blog, but I don’t add every link I collect. So without further ado…my FAVORITES FOR THIS MONTH!

My Favorite Home Workouts for December 2009

This months I’ve been doing my STS rotation and with that I’ve been throwing in any kind of cardio I want. I found myself really reaching for Cathe’s Low Max and IMAX3 DVDs – both are tough interval workouts that require a step in order to participate — fun fun fun! I can do both workouts all the way through now. When I first got these DVDs at the top of the year, I could barely get through the first two intervals. I have come a long way! These are killer, but not the hardest of Cathe’s workouts.

My Favorite Book(s) for December 2009

I’ve been glued to my Eat-Clean Diet Recharged book like my life depended on it (it does) because it is my daily foody reference. It really keeps me on track. We’ll see if I can put it down this coming January.

My Favorite Foods for December 2009

I found myself really stuck on eating Healthy Choice chicken noodle and rice soups. I know they aren’t 100% clean, but I like the nutrition facts on it plus it’s tasty and the fact that it’s been so cold lately…I’ve been eating it a lot. The sodium is low and that’s what I really love about it. I try not to eat out of cans, but when I do I make sure that the sodium is at the most 200mg per cup of whatever the product is. I bought a 12-can box at Costco for around $6. so it was a good, healthy deal and convenient. I like making my own soups, but I’ve been quite busy with life this past month.

News Stuff to Try out in January 2009

I ordered three Tracie Long DVDs (her body is crazy!), Cathe’s Cardio Fusion (I know I’m going to love that one – all step baby) and Gloria Kamil’s Basic Strength DVD (which I’m excited to try – Diva!). I’m excited to try all of these out. We’ll see if they will become my January favorites.

And that’s all folks!
