My Hair Growth Update…

This is entry #2 on my hair growth and fitness journey!  And so I just gave my hair a relaxer to day and this is where I am growth wise…the first pic is the before (taken on 9/24/09) and the second one (taken today) is the after.  CAN YOU SEE A DIFFERENCE??  I decided to go ahead and just do updates as I give myself relaxers so everybody can see my growth progress and it’s much easier to keep up with.

I did add another hair care product to my hair regiment today and that is that I used Pink Self Heating Hot Oil Treatment after did my deep conditioning.  My hair is totally moisturized, healthy, SHINEY and it lays all of my hairs down into place.  LOVE!  I had very very minimal shedding.  Woot!!!  I thought I would have had to wash my hair twice a week, but I only did it once a week and I deep conditioned after each thorough wash.  I applied everything to my hair that I had in my first hair growth and fitness entry.

So, these pictures speaks for themselves.  At this rate, my hair should be on my shoulders  or beyond by this coming summer.  I have to go in and give myself a clip, as you all can see, because my ends are thin and I did that so you all could see the growth between the months.  Now that I have density and good length at this point, I’m going to cut the thin ends off.

I knows how to grow a GOOD healthy head of hair! Hello!  I’ve done it two times before in my adult life.  It just takes consistency with upkeep and putting love into it each and everyday ESPECIALLY IF YOU WORKOUT SIX DAYS A WEEK LIKE I DO.   It just takes a little bit more heart to get our hair to do what we want them to do.

OK!  So that’s it for my hair update.  The next one will be on the day of my next relaxer.  Now back up in a ponytail or a half wig she goes:)

Notes

There is no set date as to when I give my hair a relaxer.  I basically just do it when I can no longer brush out my hair from the roots.  I always sleep on with a silk hair kerchief every night or whenever I take naps.  I only brush my hair with a wide, plastic bristle paddle brush from the root out, no combing ever.  When my hair starts to grow out, I lay down the edges with a product called “Black N Sassy Style Smoother” (it’s not a gel that drys your hair out) in small amounts around my entire hair line – LOVE!.  I also blow dry on high heat, but I never go over 4 mins at this point.  The longer and denser hair gets, the longer I’m going to have to blow dry.  Never over dry and never wrestle with your hair or you’ll lose them quick.
