Let me start off with a side note. I’m sick again re: water weight gain and it’s all my fault (ran out of my meds oops), but I’m about to go and remedy this problem on Friday so for right now, it’s all taken care of. I’m also kind of cranky so I don’t want to talk about it at all right now. I’ve got lots of personal issues on my mind right now as well and they are really catching up to me. I’ll be fine though I guess. There are just some issues I need to handle or I’ll go crazy in the next month or so. Anyway…next topic please!
Today’s post is not about me, but what I’m reading today. I’m happy to report that Whole Foods Market has some coupons in their Whole Deals newsletter. I really like their newsletter because it has recipes and it tells you about their new and existing foods and items – also lots of healthy tips too.
Right now, I spend about 100 bucks every 15 days on whole foods at the regular grocery store. I’ve decided to go organic, this morning ha!, on my whole foods and shop at Whole Foods so my food bill is going to double – yikes! My 16 month old loves to eat cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, spring mix lettuce and grapes so I think that organic is best for her at her age and maybe even beyond. I wish I could get her 9-18 months formula in organic, but Enfamil doesn’t have anything like that.
Some people say that there isn’t a difference between regular and organic fruits and veggies. Hey, any way to cut down my chemical / carcinogen consumption the better. It could me “all in my mind”, but it makes me feel better about what I’m eating. Like my Granny always says, “you cannot put a price on your well-being.” It makes sense, even in this recession – freak! I’m kidding…she’s right! LOL!
Here is the link to The Whole Deal newsletter by Whole Foods Market. Please read it. It has lots of great information inside.
