Oh gosh. I am seriously craving those little burgers. I have a very special place in my heart for cheeseburgers and those who know me know that’s right. Good thing is that I don’t have any money to pay for one (just got my car out of the body shop – so I’m broke!) and I did bring my lunch to work today so I’m going to eat that and try to forget about those burgers. Ahhhh!
I have to go out and buy new slacks this weekend and if I can’t this weekend then I’ll have to wait until next pay to do so. My pants are way too big and I’m starting to look sloppy at work. And I know this because my best friend told me so. LOL! I have gone out and bought casual clothes like jeans and such, but for work I can’t wear those things. I know that New York & Company has a lot of slacks on clearance so I’m going to start there. I’ve tried on a few, but waited on it because I’m still losing weight/shrinking/lifting up my body. Not to be confused with toning because there is no such thing as toning. I’m already regretting buying those jean shorts I bought about three weeks ago for the Spring because they may be too loose to wear when Spring comes. I like my clothes to fit close so this is disappointing from a fashionable aspect. Ha! I’ll get over it though! It’s just nice to be able to wear a size 8 in slacks now. I can’t remember the last time, if ever, I was able to get into an 8. Sweet!
After trying out a lot of things, fitness wise and such, I’ve come to the realization that I don’t like step aerobics. OK it’s not that I don’t like it, I don’t think that I have the patience or the speed to learn it right now – trying to accomplish some short-term goals here (hello) and I’m losing my workout’s effectiveness when I’m stopping to watch the TV to see what’s going on or even worse, stumbling over my feet which can, one day, result in a very bad injury… I know I’m a drama queen.
I’ve decided to continue to do hard cardio drills and circuits, but in a more simple way and that’s with Jillian Michaels. I see why she has the fans she has and has all of the fame and why her DVDs fly off the shelf. It’s called SIMPLICITY! Her simplicity is not easy though, it’s TOUGH and very EFFECTIVE! And I love her and her workouts even though she kills me every time. I will just save my step DVDs until I get a chance to learn the moves and no, I’m not selling them. Cathe DVDs are very expensive so don’t ask.
Tomato Plant
LoveBeam (Kai) my Spark Buddy, friend and sista in spirit asked me if I’d like to grow a tomato plant with her. She doesn’t live near me so I would have to buy a plant and nurture it and she will do the same. She came up with the idea because we both LOVE salads so to start growing our own veggies, starting with tomatoes, seems like a wonderful idea.
I’m not sure if we’re buying the plants pre-grown or if we’re starting from scratch so I do have to get those details from her. Spring is right around the corner so this is a perfect time. I do have a backyard and I can technically start a garden, but I think that’s a little too ambitious on my part. When will I have time to tend to a garden??? How much work and time does it take??? I know it’s not a farm or anything ha! As with everything else, I’ll probably just buy a beginners book or look for some free info online. I don’t know yet…but I will start with baby steps and just buy the dang plant.
New Weight Loss Challenge
Since my St. Patty’s Day Challenge (lost 3 out of 10lbs) is over I decided to join up with my buddies in the next one. It’s called the Healthy Bunnies Easter Challenge (to lose 7.2lbs) and I have a new ticker all made up for it. Wish me luck!

Lastly, I’m down to 168.6lbs today. I won’t get excited because everytime I get excited I start to see my ticker go back up and up again. So, I’m going to chill out and wait until I get to my deal weight of 163 before I scream in happiness. Until then, I’m just happy about my current progress. Things are really looking up and so is my body…it’s finally transforming!
