Yes, ladies and jents I’ve got something new and kick ass on my mind. I’m in love with Crossfit.com. I love their workouts of the day. Unfortunately, I can’t do them with my program because they are so intense but after I finish up my 3.5 months of STS I’m going Crossfit 100%. Check it out for yourself if you don’t know what it is. If you want a kick ass workout that includes strength and cardio that will transform your body in a matter of months…Crossfit is it. I seriously think it’s worse than the Power 90x, but I could be wrong. Take a look at Cleans and Rope Dips called “Elizabeth” over at Crossfit…after watching that and doing Cleans, I’m in love with Cleans now. Annie is doing her thing! When I say I want to transform, I’m talking about looking like and being strong like Annie. Annie is one of my She-ros now. I’m doing these on my pull day although cleans is a combo of push and pull. I’m very excited about Crossfit.
On the 8th of February, I start my STS rotation and I don’t have my 1RM tests completed yet. Bleh! I can’t do those tests with my current program and I don’t want to interrupt my program at all. I’m making so much progress thus far. I mentioned before that I’m showing some cuts and I want to keep it that way. MUST HAVE MUSCLES! So, the first mesocycle of STS is all about muscle endurance which is fine because I sort of skipped that as a beginning weight lifter. I decided to take a step back and do that and with that I can increase my weight load. This lasts for four weeks. I’m down for it. I will also work on my weak points…pushups and pullups. I can’t do a pullup to save my life and I want to be able to pump out 30 standard pushups without stopping.
Spinning starts on the 5th and I already mentioned that too, but I wanted to say out loud that I have yet to get a gel seat and I’m so going to regret that I didn’t just go ahead and order it. I don’t like having a sore ass, but that’s what it’s looking like now. I don’t have my foot pod so I won’t know how many miles I’m spinning through…sucks! I will have my heart rate monitor so I’ll definitely know how many calories I’m going to be burning. The experts say that all I need is a bottle of water, a towel, a gel seat and possibly spinning shoes. Ummmm, I don’t have my professionally fitted running shoes yet so no spinning shoes for me until I can get those. My Air Maxes better be good enough.
Before I go…I wanted to say that I have finished up my Week 2, Day 2 of C25k and all is well. My free runs are becoming easier and I now enjoy running. After this program is finished in another six weeks I’m going to start running for speed. I need to get my pace up…right now 3 to 4 miles per hour is not cutting up. I need to be at least 7 before my first 5k. I fear not finishing my first 5k or coming in last so I need to step up my game. I am putting a lot of effort into all of my fitness programs so no worries there. I love my new life.
Also…here are a couple pics of my gunz! LOL! Took these today. The first pic is of my before (the day after I started the Body For Life program, 12/2/08) and I was close to 50lbs lost – so I wasn’t at my goal weight yet. And thereafter are pics of my gunz! I have gunz! I didn’t have cuts four weeks ago. I’m transforming ya’ll! I can’t wait to see my gunz after the next four weeks.
