Hello!
I titled today’s post “The Eat Dirty Diet” because ever since yesterday (the start of my weekend) I’ve been running around here eating dirty and when I say “dirty”, I mean dirty! And I am seriously ashamed.
Let’s see yesterday…
B – egg white and turkey sausage flat bread sandwich from Dunkin Donuts (I felt guilty so I threw away my lite latte because I would have poured lots of sugar in it because the DD I went to are too cheap to supply Splenda – but that’s another story)
S – none…still guilty from breakfast
L – CHINESE FOOD…oh boy…shrimp and broccoli in brown sauce with fried rice
S – none…thankfully
D – I ate late and had a #1 from McDonald’s…a Big Mac, medium fries and a coke! EEEEEK!
S – a bottle of juice (20oz)…don’t know what it was but I know I was dirty and some Swedish Fish…a few small ones, like it matters
Today…
B – not a thing because I was tired of eating so I went to B&N and bought The Eat-Cean Diet book.
S – none
L – IHOP…turkey bacon and cheese omelette (ate it all) and three pancakes w/ maple syrup and a coke (2 cups)
S – n/a…took a long afternoon nap…bless me
D – I tried to tone it down so I had a SouthWest salad from McDonald’s and I didn’t use their dressing. I went with my EVOO and red wine vinegar and 1.5 cups of orange juice
S – since it’s time for a snack I’m going to ditch it and go weight lift.
Why all the eating out? Well, I haven’t made it to the market yet. After work last night I went to Babies R Us to get my baby a box of diapers, formula and some other things. I headed over to Target and picked her up a new car seat (she’s outgrown her infant seat). By the time I was done shopping…no time for the market.
Today, I could have gone to the market but I headed over to B&N to look at some Triathlon books, but the ones I was looking for were not there (Triathlon Training Bible, Time Saving Training for Multisport Athletes, Training Plans for Multisport Athletes, Duathlon, Xterra, Ironman and Endurance Racing and Starting Strength). I always wanted that The Eat-Clean Diet: Fast Fat-Loss that lasts Forever! book so I picked that up. Yes knowing how to eat clean is common sense (for some), but I need the bible in my hands so that’s why I got it. It’s something to work toward and why not get the info from the horse’s mouth (Tosca Reno). I have yet to pick up the
book…I should be ashamed. I have the old one, but hey, I have SBD down pat. I am Queen SBD…wanna hear me roar? No? OK I won’t.
I also picked up a book called, “Bodybuilding Anatomy“. I love this book! I know weight lifting exercises, but this book makes it easy. The chapters are broken down as Shoulders, Chest, Arms, Legs, Back and Abs…they show the all the bodybuilding exercises that increase muscle mass (yeah!) and the colorful illustrations shows you which muscles it hits. Very easy! I think this book is great for a beginner because it shows the most effective exercises. They show exercises using dumbbells, barbells, cables and machines…and explains how to do it and how your form should be. I love it! If you want to lift…do the exercises in the book and that’s all you need. It cost me 20 bucks, but it was worth it. It makes for a nice reference book on my fitness shelf!
Back to the Eat-Clean Diet, I was going to buy the cookbook but my oldest called me to pick her up…yep, I’m her personal taxi so I had to bounce. Anyway, I’m on the road to eating clean and I’m going to use some recipes as well and found out where I can buy quinoa and bee pollen. I want my refrigerator to look like page 81 for real. Walking around with a healthy cart in a supermarket makes me feel good. I’m trying to be good to myself so I’m not going to take advantage of SBD Phase 3 with eating dirty foods...I’m going to eat clean so I can do my weight maintenance the right way. Again, I don’t want to be a fat girl anymore! I don’t want to feel dirty!
