So I went ahead and flexed my arms in the mirror last night while strength training and I noticed that I have some “cuts” in my arms…heyyyyyyyyyy! This hard work is paying off I see. I still have this layer of fat cover them that I need to burn off, but surely it’s coming off. I can’t quite see any cuts from behind, but from the front I know I’m changing and what I’m doing is working.
I also notice that I’m lifting heavier too. The guys said I would grow out of my 55lb barbell set, but I didn’t think I would this fast so I’m looking at a 100lb set and then I’ll buy some extra plates as I go along.
A good tip is to have two barbells setup while weight lifting because it minizmes the times you have to go and change the amount of weights you need to lift. Good idea right? Big time saver. Somebody told me that and I think I’m going to do that.
I’m still struggling with two exercises and they are lateral raises and bent-over rear delt raises (standing and sitting). I cannot move out of a pair of 10lb dumbbells. Frustrating! I’m going to try to do 30lbs each time and if I can’t I’ll drop back to 20…but I won’t give up.
Tonight I have to do my pull workout and I like this one best of all. I get to do bicep curls…my favorite. Doing those makes me fee like I’m strong. I’m going to see what I can do with a 25lb dumbell. I may do some concentration curls too.
Overall, this has been a very good workout week and I’m happy with my progress. I think I’m going ot take a picture tonight and update my logs!
