I wish it were lunch time already!

It is noon, but I do not each lunch until 1pm so I’m over here starving!!! Today, I’m having shrimp fried rice because I really have a taste for it and it’s a nice treat to give myself for a job well done this week with my fitness and start my C25K training.

Speaking of my C25k training, I completed Day 2, Week 1 and I’m happy about that. My Garmin was not acting nice or I probably messed up the programming by doing something stupid, but it didn’t track my mileage or my calories burned. GAH! I’m upset, but I’m kind of getting over it now.

I decided to move my C25K one day ahead because it’s not a good combination with my weight training. I feel energetic after running, but then when I get back home I just want to sit down for a while. So, C25K will be moved from Mon, Wed, Friday to Tue, Thurs, Sat. I feel better about this new setup, butI’ll have to cut out my current cardio program for a while and that’s fine – I’ll just run longer. That means I won’t be spinning or swimming :( . I really need to get my C25K training out of the way. I can take up learning how to swim in the summer and at that time it will be so nice outside.

I’m currently making plans to schedule my first 5K! I was encouraged to do one by my lovely friends over at Runners World. They really believe that after I finish with my C25k training that I’ll be ready. And they say that as long as I continue to do them that my time will become better and better. I sure hope so!

Today’s food praise for me is grapefruit. Let’s see, its nutritious, it’s a good carb, it’s sweet and juicy and it makes a good refreshing snack. Some downsides can be that if you peel it you get the some of it in your nails, it’s sticky and if it’s too juicy it just becomes a big mess and that’s why I love grapefruit. I was told to eat a half as a snack, but I eat the whole thing because it makes more sense to me. That’s all!

I hope the rest of my day goes well! Yours too!
